Over worked politicians?

I know that State of the Union addrresses can be boring and all, but is it really the best time to take a nap?

I mean seriously. Are you working that hard? Look at the number of snoozers.

Now I can understand why Teddy "bear" Kennedy might be hungov...er, I mean tired. But what about the youthful rock star Obama? Hillary looks happy.

I can understand being bored if I had to sit next to John Kerry, but what is up with the dude behind him?

Maybe all of these people were blinking at the same time.

So the next time our public servants vote to give themselves a raise. Cut them some slak...they are working tirelessly for us!!

Richard Dawkins offers his own delusion.

"Saddam Should Have Been Studied, Not Executed"
is the title of Richard Dawkins (author of The God Delusion) latest article in the LA Times. His article suggests that we need to take the time to study him to find out what makes him tick. This seems to me to be a contradiction to Dawkins own worldview in the sense that he wants to find out what gave him his evil "values." Why? This is coming from a man who marginalizes any notion of values and those who hold values. Especially those values derived from a delusional God. This is nothing more than Dawkin's attempt to gain some sympathy from liberal progressive anti-capital punishment crowd, while trying to gain support for his own brand of atheistic "religion." I would rather him say that he would like to study people who display altruistic behavior. I think we could learn allot more from them. But realistically how do you "study' these people either good or evil? I feel that the findings from each study would be pretty much the same. That being "not much." So give it up Mr. Dawkins. I would rather see your "Christian hating" ...oops I mean atheistic.... media tour in an effort to gain new converts to your church, than read this delusional nonsense.

The Ego has landed.

Nancy Pelosi now has her first 100 hours and we will see a load of pomp and circumstance and perhaps even some substance. But first she would like to introduce herself to America. The California Congresswoman has declared herself "the most powerful woman in America," according to a report from the Washington Times. I would like to take this time to bring Madam Speaker back to Earth. Why on Earth would anyone say that out loud? Regardless of how true it might be. Please lady, show some restraint, it's only been 2 freakin' days. Ms. Pelosi needs to be reminded that she is not the most powerful woman in America. Oprah is.

This is the end as we know it.

What is wrong with these people. Now it is unlawful to go sledding because of lawsuits? Does anyone else feel that we are living in a different country than when we grew up? At times I sure do. What ever happened to personal responsibility? It is dangerous to drive a car, does that mean I have a case against Jeep if I get injured in a wreck? Or how about Nike if their shoestring causes me to trip. It's interesting that our culture wants to create an environment where nothing could possibly go wrong. No thanks let me sled and I will face the consequences if I run into a tree. At least I will be having fun. We need to stop living like a lawsuit is equal to wining the lottery. How about adopting the practice that loser pays when it comes to lawsuits. I think that would stave off most of this ridiculous litigiousness.
